Update on my Previous Post “Twitter Me This”
July 9, 2009 9:23 PMI just want to state that all my feelings on Twitter are mostly the same from my previous blog post… The big difference is the “Follow me and I will Follow you.”
I will no longer be following everyone who follows me. It is explained in the video Below. Other things not mentioned in the video are the fact that it is just so hard to deal with the 3000 DM’s I get. In fact, as echoed in my video, I am not ACTIVELY looking to make more friends. Most of us are not. That is why I have not logged into my FACEBOOK account in 4 months. That is why I HATE my MYSPACE account and will NEVER log in again.
As stated in the video, The owner of FACEBOOK wants people that use is system to use it to make it easier to connect with the REAL FRIENDS you already have, not as a TOOL to get more friends. And it is not friends, it is a STATUS or a metric of some fake importance of something I am not quite sure what it even means.
The bottom line is, if I want to follow @TonyRobbins, it is because I want to know what he has to say and I do not care if he does not “follow me” back… Nor do I feel upset or insulted that he does not care about what I have to say.
I like social media to allow me to connect with the people I care about. I am not looking to have 40,000 people trying to connect with me. It is not possible even if I wanted to as shown in the video.
Let’s face it, no one would want 40,000 people all trying to talk to you everyday (Even if it were possible)
I saw a video for a Social Media tool today that signs you up for 100 (yes One Hundred) Social Media sites at one time!
I thought to myself… “MY GOSH! Who the heck as the darn time to deal with all that crap.”
I want to focus on what is important to me. I want to follow and connect with the people I know.
People will say. Well Mike, that is not fair.. .How can anyone send you a PRIVATE MESSAGE. My reply to that is, that anyone that needs to send me a private message already knows how.
For everyone else. there is this really cool thing called @mikefilsaime. It is a public reply that I am most likely to see. And it is a great way to start a relationship that may lead to “Private” conversations.

But for now, I want to let you know that in a few days I will be doing a DAILY show at a different time EVERY day and the only way to SEE it will be by following me on twitter.

We will have 3 cameras so you can catch all teh action as well as mixers to allow you to see my screen and listen in when people call in.
There will be little Q*A. It is going to be more like a “Morning Talk Show” where you get to hear AND see everything that goes on in my office.

Jumping Out Of A Plane at 30,000 Feet for Charity
July 13, 2008 10:38 PMYanik Silver and I are trying to raise $30,000 for Charity.

We are jumping from a plane at 30,000 feet, tandem style, each of us with an expert.
We are matching the funds donated. As of now we have about $4400 raised so that means we are up to $8800 when we match.
We are asking everyone to donate anything as the funds go to help
young entrepreneurs in Africa through Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite
Charity.
The dive that Yanik and I are doing on July 20th will be one of the highest civilian dives in history.
It is called a H.A.L.O. for “High Altitude” and “Low Open” and it
will be 35 degrees below zero (F) and we will need special suits with
oxygen masks to do the dive or we would not be able to breathe.
The dive will last for 2 minutes and 30 seconds as we free fall to earth for this charity event.
Yes, I am getting nervous, but I am so excited I can not even really
worry about being scared. But I am sure when I get up there I might
just freeze. We shall see :)

When someone goes to your web site and types a bad URL
instead of typing the Correct URL:
yousite.com/video.htm
but they type the WRONG URL:
example:
- yousite.com/video.html
- yousite.com/video/
- yousite.com/vidoe.htm
- yousite.com/vdieo.htm
- yousite.com/viedo.htm
they get what is called a default 404 error page telling
you that you typed in the wrong URL to try again.
404 Page not found
The requested URL /viedo.htm was not found on this server.

To Set The Record Straight

I know you, didn’t actually write me thinking I was involved in doing the
unimaginable…
…but even still I have to set the record straight because of just how many
people have thought it was me.
In fact, if you hear anyone else making this mistake, please let them know the
truth. And send them to:

Before I tell you who really deserves the credit…let me tell you about the
kinds of praise I’ve been getting.
A number of my friends, just like you, have sent me emails saying:
"Hey, Mike… I heard great stuff about your event and I heard you actually
managed to run two events at the very same time, at the very same hotel. That’s
unheard of… How did you do it?!"
And another would point out how they were amazed I’d managed to pull off an
